Alejandra Tentle

She was born in Mexico City on January 9th, 1997. She is self recognized as afroindigenous because of her context and family history. She studied History at the Philosophy and Letters Faculty and Contrabassist Instrument at the Music Faculty, both in the Autonomous National University of Mexico. Her lines of research have focused on the history of pre-Hispanic music and Afro-Mexican history, publishing the article "Musical instruments present in the Florentine Codex and their importance in areitos'' on the book “Siete Miradas al Comercio en México”, published by the Guendabichi Foundation; She is co-author of the digital books "My Identity, a historical, journalistic and feminist anecdotary of Afro-descendants in Mexico" and "Tarara Tararí", a book of children's stories that seeks to give visibility and representation to Afro-Mexican children, recounting the influence and impact culture of the African people in Mexico.

She has participated in different spaces as a speaker, workshop leader and lecturer following her lines of research as part of the Tembembe Center of Afromexican Studies and the CDMX National Network of Afro-descendant Women. Recently she participated at the Second Session of the Permanent Forum on people of Africandesent at the United Nations in New York
