Since the finals days of February I was waiting with excitement the deliberation of my inscription to the full scholarship to study at the Digital Leadership in Social Inclusion and Access to Rights Diploma summoned by the OAS (Organization of the American States) since January of this year; it was not until March 8th when I received a positive answer to begin the course from March 14th to May 4th with through the virtuality of two sessions per week.
With more than five hundred profiles, the dynamic of the sessions was saturated, and this make impossible the effective ways to communicate, however, the organization between the members of this third edition of the Diploma allowed to form incidence groups in common to affiance future joint collaborations. This enriched my formation during these five weeks, outlining my training to other regions of the continent, above all, sharing information for now, all this with the firm purpose to strengthen support networks in all Latin America for the defense of the Human Rights of afrodescent and African diaspora.
I think the relevance of keep training theoretically is the diffusion and replica in our territories about what we learned in these prestigious institutions, also includes in the discussions the topics that we work on from Tembembe Center, in search of the strengthening of ethno-education for our racialized communities. We checked in a couple of sessions to the afro population and the vulnerability in which they are, above all woman and children, the structural disadvantages that we face, adding various inclusion strategies, besides in the last session we talked about “Guarantee an inclusive, equitable and quality education… promoting learning opportunities permanently for everybody”.
What allows me to continue enriching myself with knowledge that I am still processing to propose and socialize it eventually in different teamwork. Strengthening individual processes always invigorates community work from the Tembembe Center. Besides, it possibilist us for its inclusion in other collective action spaces. I will keep reporting the proposals that emerged from this Diploma, with the proposal to get into more collateral projects related to our internal work, for now, I think our presence is relevant to expose to you.
